If you have been curious about trying yoga but want to make sure you try it out in a safe and supportive way, then we have your ticket into the world of yoga. Michele Landis, 500hr E-RYT and director at Simply Yoga and Fitness, is bringing her 20 years of teaching experience to our brand new, affordable, four-week yoga series designed specifically for the beginner. Connect with your body, gain flexibility, and explore a true source of introspection and stress relief as you are introduced to the foundation of asana (postures), pranayama (breathwork), and meditation. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and receive instruction to ensure that you are developing a strong base and sense of confidence as you journey into your own yoga practice. Students will leave with a knowledge of yoga etiquette, sixteen yoga postures, and avenues to practice yoga safely with emphasis on personal modifications and the use of assistive props. This class series is for brand new students who have never tried yoga before and anyone wanting to start at square one.
