Maggie Stonecash

Maggie became a Carlisle community convert after graduating from Dickinson College in Sociology and working for the College Farm. She became a certified yoga teacher in 2012, and never looked back…now a staple of the studio, teaching over 10 classes a week! Maggie’s adult classes focus on strength based yoga that facilitates functional movement to support your daily activities and enhance comfort and ease in your daily life. Who doesn’t want to be able to pick up their groceries without pain? She incorporates mindfulness into her classes through movement, breath, and self compassion practices. Her classes are for every body, ability, and background. She has a deep belief in the power of yoga and mindfulness to help people learn how to focus, manage stress and emotions, and find more ease and peace with themselves.

Maggie is a Certified Restore Your Core® (RYC) teacher. This functional movement and core and pelvic floor rehab program was life changing for her in recovering from a back injury, diastasis recti, and prolapse issues postpartum. She was able to return to her daily living activities and to the things she loves…moving, teaching yoga without pain, being active outdoors, gardening, hiking, trail running, paddleboarding, and playing with her kids! She feels stronger than ever now thanks to RYC and continued functional strength training and loves sharing these tools with our community. RYC® gave her the confidence to know, trust, and believe in her body’s ability to heal. This empowerment is invaluable and what she hopes to share with her students and private clients. Maggie teaches the RYC Foundations Course, workshops, private sessions, and weekly RYC, Functional Strength & Core, Moderate yoga, and Gentle yoga classes. 

 Maggie also specializes in working with kids and teens and has extensive experience as a special education teacher with a masters in education, and training in bringing mindfulness to all ages and populations.
